Areas of Expertise

Assistant Professor Kahy is an expert in international economics and international political economy. In addition to English, Assistant Professor Kahy speaks Arabic, French, Spanish and Japanese.


Teaching Interests

Assistant Professor Kahy is interested in teaching international economics, managerial economics, monetary theory, growth and development and industrial organizations.


Research

Assistant Professor Kahy 's research interests focus on international economics. Specifically, he is interested in currency crises that are connected to political uncertainty stemming from unclear outcomes of elections and the behavior of the government in such conditions. He is also interested in the effects of financial flows to developing countries and whether these flows turn into actual FDI and eventually lead to growth and development.

Assistant Professor Kahy is working on papers based on his current research for his dissertation dealing with currency crises and political uncertainty.
