Registering for Courses
Course schedules are made available on this website three times a year (in April, July, and November) for each TUJ TESOL center - Tokyo and Osaka. It gives a complete description of all the courses scheduled for the coming semester.

New Students
New students should submit the "new student form" first in order to start taking courses as a non-matriculated student. Please follow the procedures described on the "New Student Registration" page.
Continuing Students
Both matriculated and non-matriculated students should follow the procedures below to register for courses. Register for courses at a particular location — Tokyo or Osaka.
- Submit your registration online.
- Your registration will be processed and reflected on your OWLnet page on TUportal in approximately one week. Please check your OWLnet registration information to confirm that your course registration has been processed accurately.
- Your tuition statement will be sent to your temple.edu e-mail account after the registration period.
- Make the payment by the date specified on the academic calendar.
Note for Ed.D. Students:
If you are registering for Independent Study/Dissertation Writing courses, you must get an approval from your instructor before registering.
Registration Procedure
The procedures are simple:
- Go to "course schedules" and decide which course(s) you will take.
- Go to "registration form," fill out your personal information, and select the course(s) you wish to take.
Note: The online registration site is available only during the registration periods.
Your online registration record will be reflected on OWLnet in approximately one week. Please make sure that your online registration record and your OWLnet record matches. If you find a problem, please contact us at tesol@tuj.ac.jp.
Except for the weekend seminars, you must register for all courses online. If you have questions about the procedures, please feel free to ask the TESOL office staff any time.

Schedule Revision (Drop/Add)
Students who wish to make changes in their course registration must contact TESOL office and fill out drop/add form on or before the deadline. Please see the academic calendar for drop/add period.
Withdrawing from a Course
Students may "withdraw" from a course on or before the deadline. After the deadline, students may not withdraw from a course. When withdrawing from a course, a "W" will be recorded on the transcript indicating that the student withdrew from the course. Tuition is not refundable.
Tuition Payment
All tuition and fees should be paid via wire transfer by the date specified on the statement.
Wire transfers should be done using the student's name and TUID number as appears on the statement. TUJ does NOT accept personal checks, money orders or credit card payments. Wire transfer charges should be paid separately by transferee. Transfer amount is due in Japanese YEN (not US Dollars).
