About Hideshi Takesada

Professor Takesada, a graduate of Keio University and currently Executive Director at NIDS in Tokyo is one of Japan's leading experts on Korean affairs (http://www.nids.go.jp/english/index.html). He has been a visiting scholar at Stanford University and George Washington University, as well as visiting professor at Chung-an University in Seoul. He has published numerous books and articles on North Korea and spoke at our KJ group in Washington DC several years ago.

During his presentation, he will provide an explanation of Lee Myung-Bak's victory, examine the ROK's new foreign and unification policies and discuss North Korea's reaction to the change of administration in Seoul.
