Dear friends, we are happy to invite you to another TUJ Business Economics Group discussion with Rochelle Kopp. Rochelle, who is an expert in this field, will brief us on the cross-cultural challenges of trans-Pacific business. Following her presentation, she will lead a discussion with the audience.


About Rochelle Kopp

Rochelle Kopp is the Managing Principal and founder of Japan Intercultural Consulting an international training and consulting firm focused on Japanese business. She is an authority on Japanese culture and business. As a consultant specializing in cross-cultural communications, she has extensive experience working with Japanese organizations and their non-Japanese suppliers and partners.

Rochelle gained firsthand experience of Japanese corporate culture when she lived in Japan and worked at the Tokyo headquarters of a major Japanese financial institution. She is the author of The Rice-Paper Ceiling: Breaking Through Japanese Corporate Culture and over a dozen books in Japanese. Rochelle also writes articles for various Japanese and American publications, including regular columns for the Nihon Keizai Shinbun. Prior to establishing Japan Intercultural Consulting, Rochelle worked at two U.S.-based international consulting firms. She holds a B.A. summa cum laude in History from Yale University and an M.B.A. with honors from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.
