FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Tokyo, November 6, 2003—The Financial Times ranks the
Executive MBA (EMBA) program at Temple University’s Fox School
of Business and Management 14th best in the United States and among
the top 25 EMBA programs in the world. The new rankings were announced
in London on October 20, 2003.
To
determine its rankings, the Financial Times rated how
EMBA class of 2000 alumni—including, in Temple’s case,
alumni from the Tokyo campus—fared in career progression and
salary. It also measured alumni’s satisfaction with their
EMBA programs and the overall strength of individual programs based
on their level of faculty research and the global perspective of
the program and its students.
The Temple EMBA program scored favorably in all respects. The publication,
in fact, ranked it among the top 10 programs worldwide for its percentage
of female and international students.
“Being ranked once again by a prestigious publication is
a testament to the exceptional quality of our student body, faculty,
and staff,” says Philadelphia-based Dean M. Moshe Porat, of
the Fox School of Business and Management. And William Swinton,
the assistant dean of Management Education Programs at Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) and a 1998 TUJ MBA graduate, adds, “This is excellent
news for our stakeholders, particularly our alumni and students
in the U.S., Japan, and around the globe. The value of our degree
continues to increase.”
In September 2003, Forbes magazine included the Fox School’s
full-time MBA program in its top 75 “return on investment”
ranking for the second consecutive year. U.S. News & World
Report also ranks Fox’s international MBA, in its top
25, and Fox’s MBA in health care management among its top
35.
In addition to its strong MBA rankings, the Fox School in general
receives top marks from U.S. News & World Report. It
ranks the school’s Risk Management and Insurance program 8th
in the United States, its Undergraduate International Business programs
15th in the U.S., and its overall undergraduate business programs
among the top 100 in the U.S.
TUJ will hold an EMBA program information session at its Minami-Azabu
campus on November 22 at 11 a.m. Applications are now being accepted
for classes starting spring 2004. For more information, please call
