"Law Day": Temple Law School to Join Forces with US Military and the RBA to Provide MCLE Credit (including Ethics Credit) for US-Qualified Attorneys


Temple Law School is very pleased to announce a special CLE event to be held on Friday, May 29th. Temple Law School and the Roppongi Bar Association (RBA) have been invited to join the long-running ABA "Law Day" event in which the U.S. military invites officials and attorneys from the Japanese Ministry of Justice to attend topical legal seminars and to socialize at a joint reception after the day's events. This year's event will be held at the exclusive military-only hotel located in the heart of Hiroo, The New Sanno Hotel.

Seminars begin at 4:00 p.m. with the reception ending at 7:30 p.m.

¥5,000 (¥3,500 for RBA members) - payable by advance furikomi only

CLE Questions:
Please check with your state's board to confirm whether it accepts Pennsylvania MCLE credits and please bring your state attorney ID number (if applicable) so that you can complete the necessary paperwork at the meeting. For additional questions, please e-mail Temple Law School at law@tuj.ac.jp.


CLE Seminars

The event will consist of 2 seminars - the first will be a Professional Responsibility lecture followed by a seminar featuring the new developments in Japanese law. Temple Law School is honored to be able to provide 1 ethics CLE credit and 1 substantive CLE credit for the day's events.


Reception

The event will wrap-up with a Law Day Reception where members of the US Judge Advocates, officials from the Ministry of Justice and the US Embassy, Temple University Law School faculty and students, and Members of the RBA will socialize and unwind.


Note on RSVP and Advance Payment

The New Sanno Hotel is a military facility and subject to strict security entrance procedures. As a result, this event will be advance registration only, with payment by advance furikomi through the RBA. To reserve your spot and receive information about payment and security procedures, please RSVP as soon as possible to events@rbalaw.org.
