Temple Law School and RBA to Provide MCLE Credit for US-Qualified Attorneys (RBA April Meeting)

Speaker
Arjan van der Linde is a member of Ernst & Young's (EY) International Tax Services group. He heads the Dutch Tax Desk in Hong Kong and focuses on providing our clients in the Asia Pacific region with international tax advice on European investments and the use of holding companies. Prior to moving to Hong Kong to set up the Desk, Arjan worked in the New York office where he primarily advised US corporate clients, private equity and real property funds on the tax aspects of European investments, holding companies and coordinated the implementation of various global projects. Prior to New York, he spent six years in the EY Amsterdam office, focusing on structured finance, transactions and international tax planning engagements. Arjan is fluent in Dutch and English and holds a Masters in Fiscal Economy from the University of Amsterdam and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the Amsterdam School of Business. He publishes regularly on Dutch tax developments in various tax publications, and is a common speaker on Dutch promotion seminars throughout Greater China. Arjan is a full member of the Netherlands Order of Tax Advisors, and an associate of the Netherlands Tax Science Association.
About the Event
The RBA is a social and educational association consisting primarily of legal professionals in Japan. It is a member-supported organization run by volunteers by and for the group membership. The RBA traces its roots in Japan back over 25 years, in which time it has served to bring the foreign legal community together by offering educational and social events at which attendees can meet to discuss important issues of the day, and the changing legal landscape in Japan. In that regard, the RBA hosts substantive lectures and speeches by leading professionals on a variety of subjects throughout the year. In an effort to assist U.S. attorneys in Japan satisfy their various CLE requirements, the Law School, as an Accredited Provider of Pennsylvania CLE credits, holds, on its own and in conjunction with other legal organizations in Japan, special events throughout the year in which U.S. qualified attorneys in Japan may be able to receive U.S. MCLE credits (please check with your state to confirm acceptance of PA MCLE credits by your state's CLE board).
