Trial Advocacy Seminar Focusing on Jury Trials in Japan
Temple University Beasley School of Law is highly acclaimed among U.S. law schools in training trial attorneys. In 2005, Temple Law School was ranked No. 1 in the area of trial advocacy by U.S. News and World Report. In preparation for the new jury trial system in Japan, the Japanese Federation of Bar Associations (Nichibenren) has invited Temple Law School to hold a trial advocacy training seminar for all interested Japanese lawyers. On November 1, 2005, Professor Edward Ohlbaum and Professor JoAnne Epps will join Professor Matthew Wilson in Tokyo to train lawyers about oral advocacy methods before juries, opening statements, cross examination, and closing arguments. By providing this seminar, Temple Law School hopes to contribute to the positive development of the Japanese judicial system.
*This event is for members of Japanese Federation of Bar Associations only.
