- Senrei presents summaries
of important recent case law in Japan. Included are selected Supreme Court
and lower court cases from 1995 to the present, with citations to the publications
in which they are reported.
- Japan LawBase, is
prepared by Roderick Seeman, an American lawyer. Most of the information is
taken from his publications such as "The Japan Law Letter." This site also
offers translated Japanese statutes and regulations.
- Japanlaw.co.jp
is a site "organized" by Nakamura and Associates to introduce Japanese laws
and practices. It contains information on starting a company, as well as a
partial translation of Japan's revised Code of Civil Procedure.
- Lex Mundi:
A Lawyer's Guide to Japan contains practical information for "entry" into
the Japanese market, prepared by the law firm Masuda & Ejiri.
- The American
Citizen Services page of the US Embassy in Japan website contains useful
information on various matters including day to day legal questions likely
to arise for Americans living overseas; eg, nationality issues, questions
of family law (marriage, divorce, adoption), and matters relating to transnational
litigation.
