Information Session Schedule

All sessions will be at TUJ Mita Hall (Map)

  • Saturday, June 8, 2013 - from 13:00 to 16:00
    (Information Session with Mock Class. At Mita Hall 503.)
  • Friday, July 26, 2013 - from 19:00 to 21:00
    (Information Session only. At Mita Hall. Room TBD.)

At our information sessions, you will have the chance to meet our program director and talk to the law school staff. Also, we will provide details about our programs, facilities, and the many benefits of studying at the Tokyo campus of Temple University School of Law, some of which include the following:

  • Study at a U.S. law school in Tokyo towards an LL.M. degree or a Certificate in American or International Law
  • Associate yourself with a distinguished law school highly regarded in trial advocacy and international law
  • Take practical law courses in English from international law faculty and attorneys in an ABA-accredited U.S. law school in Japan
  • Study and network in year-round evening courses with other professionals, practicing attorneys, and U.S. law students

Mock Class

To demonstrate how the common and civil law approaches to problem solving differ, Professor Finbarr McCarthy, Director of the Law Program, will demonstrate the fact-grounded, analytical approach that prevails in common-law jurisdictions. Those attending the mock class may ask questions, make comments, and generally participate, just as would students in a typical U.S. law class.
