The International Accounting Standard Board(IASB), the Financial Accounting Standard Boards (FASB) and other financial accounting boards, including Accounting Standards Board in Japan(ASBJ) are committed to developing, in the public interest, a single set of high quality, understandable, and enforceable global accounting standards and reporting requirements. Based on these movements, both Japan and US decided to assess the feasibility that IFRS can be adopted from 2015. So, we are now in the midst of change in accounting rules.

This workshop will offer the opportunity to examine the basics of the International Financial Reporting Standards(IFRS), and also provide the participants with an overview of the IASB's Framework and the Security Exchange Commission's Roadmap for international conversion to International Financial Reporting Standards.
