A general introduction to contracts with a comparative approach and lots of case studies. Emphasis will be given to Continental Law with frequent reference to Anglo-American law. Specifically, this course will provide the student with a basic understanding of the following concepts: what a contract is; formation of contracts, including offer, acceptance, revocation and rejection; consideration; defenses to formation; third party rights and duties; enforcement of the contract; and remedies for breach.
