Course Overview
In today's unstable economic environment, it is vital for companies and their executives to formulate and execute effective business strategies to ensure long-term operating success. This workshop will examine the meaning of corporate strategy and why it is indispensable to an organization's survival. The management process to develop and perform a company's strategy, including the concepts and analytical tools to evaluate an organization's situation and external opportunities, will also be explained. The workshop will consist of a combination of lectures, videos, and interactive group discussions of a relevant case study.

Instructor
Dr. Pedro M. Kono is an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Temple and Pepperdine Universities. He holds a doctoral degree in Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and worked more than 30 years for Citigroup managing strategic planning, structured financing, and asset based finance internationally. Dr. Kono is married, with two children and two grandchildren. He has lived in Brazil, Japan, and United States and is the President and CEO of Key Financing Solutions LLC, a company providing consulting services in corporate finance, corporate strategy, and investments.
