Course Overview

In today's uncertain economic times, it is more important than ever for globally-minded Japanese business people to upgrade their skills for the future. The main objective of this series of six 2-hour sessions will be to sharpen core business skills and to enhance communicative competence in an English-speaking business environment. English will therefore be used as the primary teaching tool and communication mode.*

By the end of the course, participants will be able to

  1. Understand their strengths and weaknesses in English business communication and intercultural awareness
  2. Identify and execute effective ways of structuring and delivering messages
  3. Create and justify clear solutions to persuade others

* Participants are strongly recommended to be high intermediate or advanced speakers of English (suggested TOEIC>700) to fully benefit from this course. Participants will also be required to complete various assignments and exercises throughout the course.
