Instructors

Most AEP instructors hold graduate degrees in TESOL or Applied Linguistics from English-speaking universities. Several already hold or are completing doctorates in TESOL. The program also occasionally hires part-time instructors, all of whom either have or are close to completing a master's degree in TESOL or Applied Linguistics.

AEP instructors come from many places in the world, embodying TUJ's commitment to cultural diversity; these places of origin currently include Japan, the United States, and various other parts of the English-speaking world.

It should be emphasized that all AEP instructors who are non-native speakers of English are highly accomplished, fluent users of English as a second language and are good models of successful attainment of bilingual ability. Moreover, the members of the AEP administrative staff are native speakers of Japanese who are also highly fluent in English.
