2011 Minato Citizen's University at TUJ "Rebranding Japan Post 3/11"

TUJ will jointly host with Minato Kissport Foundation, 2011 Minato Citizen's University at Temple University, Japan Campus "Rebranding Japan Post-3/11". This series provides five different perspectives on Japan with particular reference to the impact of the events and after-effects of March 11, and their effect on the nation's politics, ociety, culture and overall image. The lectures will be in English and should prove informative and interesting to listeners with a wide range of knowledge of and experience in Japan.

News:

ICAS lecture session in New York City

On August 24, the Institute of Contemporary Asian Studies (ICAS) held a lecture session in New York City given by ICAS Adjunct Fellow Paul Scalise. The lecture was titled "Japanese electricity: Preliminary lessons from the "saving energy" summer", and focused on the post-Fukushima energy policy of Japan. The event drew a wide range of audience including local business executives, diplomats, and academics.
