New TUJ Board of Overseers appointed

Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) is pleased to announce the appointment of its new Board of Overseers by Temple University's Main Campus in Philadelphia. The TUJ Board of Overseers is a direct successor of the previous TUJ Board of Governors, but has been established and authorized by the President and the Temple University Board of Trustees' Committee on Trustee Affairs. While TUJ's Board is titled the "Board of Overseers", it will serve the same function by providing TUJ with informed, interested and distinguished support, advice and appraisal from knowledgeable experts outside TUJ (Read more in press release).

MBA gathering with Dr. Leeds

TUJ EMBA alumni, current students, and staff enjoyed an evening on January 19, with Dr. Mike Leeds, economics professor from the Main Campus. The event was held at Mayahuel Premium Tequila and Mezcal Bar in Roppongi over delicious Mexican food and drink. Mayahuel was founded by one of MBA alumni and has become a popular spot. Next get-together will be held in April.

TUJ offers an internationally recognized, specifically executive-oriented MBA program by the Fox School of Business in Philadelphia. The Fox EMBA programs were ranked 14th in the U.S. and 43rd in the world by the Financial Times EMBA Ranking 2010.

TUJ Night Sucess

TUJ Night kicked of with a blast, with much thanks to the alumni who supported with their presence. The January event was great success with a total presence of 15, including a few staff, but the February event was continued with a total attendance of 20. TUJ will continue to hold the monthly TUJ Night on every third Thursday at Futbol Cerveceria ONCE in Nakameguro from 6:30PM onwards. Keeping networking aside, it is always better when you can get together with your fellow alumni in a real world and network on an existing connection.

It is going to be EVERY 3rd THURSDAY so you will know where to meet up with your old class mates or make new friends. The March event will be held on March 17 at ONCE.

Please note that there will be 2-for-1 offer for your first drink by telling that you are a TUJ Alumni member. Hope to see you all there!
