New look and content on the Temple University Japan website goes live!

The new look Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) website (www.tuj.ac.jp) went live on October 1st. Beneath the cosmetics of the new look, a major upgrade to the whole website features simplified navigation to provide easier access, significant new content including a new university information section, and video clips that provide a "real life" introduction to several undergraduate courses.

Temple Japan's undergraduate student numbers double since 2001

Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) announced today that the 2008 fall semester undergraduate enrollment reached 850. This marks a doubling in the number of enrollments since the 2001 fall semester when it received 425 enrollments.

TUJ students flourish in the practical world of NGO fieldwork

At Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ), a key element of our education is growing our students as people, creating learning experiences outside the classroom so they can understand the importance of putting their instruction to practical use. With the backing and support of two major companies, TUJ students have been gaining valuable experience working with NGOs in Japan and abroad. They recently gave presentations in Tokyo on their experiences.

Temple University, Japan Campus holds graduation ceremony

June 17, 2008

June 17, 2008 -- Temple University, Japan Campus (Minato-ku, Tokyo, Dean Bruce Stronach) held its 2008 graduation ceremony on June 15 at the Hotel New Otani, Tokyo. This year a total of 171 students graduated from the undergraduate Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Arts programs, and graduate Master and Doctorate programs. The ceremony was held as a part of the 121st commencement ceremony at Temple University's main campus (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA), and was attended by nine delegates from the main campus headed by Provost Lisa Staiano-Coico, together with Mr. Ronald J. Post, Minister-Counselor for Public Affairs at the US Embassy.

Bruce Stronach inaugurated as Dean of TUJ

April 17, 2008

Temple University, Japan Campus (TUJ) announced that Dr. Bruce Stronach was officially inaugurated as Dean on April 1, 2008. Prior to this appointment, Dean Stronach was an Academic Advisor at TUJ since January 2008.
