Admissions Application Deadline
All application items must arrive at the program office in Tokyo on or before the following dates.

Note: We will assist visa applications submitted after the Student Visa Application Deadline. However, late applicants may not receive a Certificate of Eligibility (COE) from the Japanese Immigration Bureau in time to enter Japan on a student visa. (A COE is required to obtain a student visa.) Until students attain a student visa, they might have to endure some inconvenience. For more information about visa application, please contact us.

2. Official TOEFL or IELTS Score Report
All non-native speakers of English must submit an official TOEFL or IELTS score. Applicants who earned a university degree in an English-speaking country or from an institution in which English is the medium of instruction may petition to have the language proficiency test requirement waived.
Order an official score report using the code for Temple University, Japan Campus (9698). For more information on the TOEFL examination, please visit www.ets.org/toefl/.
Request that an official report be sent directly to Temple University, Japan Campus. For more information on IELTS, please visit www.ielts.org.

- TUJ conducts an institutional TOEFL (ITP) exam almost every month. Scores are valid only in an application to TUJ.
3. Transcripts and Degree Verification
Official transcripts from all third-level institutions attended must be submitted directly to Temple University, Japan Campus, by the issuing institutions in envelopes sealed by the institutions.
If any transcript merely lists the courses that you have completed, but does not show that the institution actually conferred your degree, then you must additionally ask the institution to submit a certificate of degree completion. The transcript alone will not suffice.
A certified English language translation must also accompany transcripts that are not issued in English. We do not accept transcripts that the applicant has handled or opened. Applicants may also submit overseas transcripts through an academic credentials evaluation service, such as World Evaluation Service (WES) or Law School Admission Council (LSAC).
4. Personal Statement
A personal statement should include information about your personal history, professional interests, and abilities that you think might help the Admissions Committee know you as a person and as a professional. Your personal statement should be between 500 and 1,000 words.
A resume should contain details about your education and work experience.

You can pay the application fee by credit card online. You will receive an e-mail with online payment instructions after you submit the online application form.
Application Fee Payment via Wire Transfer
Applicants who pay by wire transfer must pay in their own name using the bank information below. The sender is responsible for all bank charges. If transferring money from overseas, please add ¥3,000 to cover Japanese bank handling charges.
