Sheridan Prasso who recently published a cover story in Fortune on Chinese-owned American companies, will lead our session on this topic.

Sheridan Prasso is a Contributing Editor at Fortune magazine. She is an Asia specialist with more than two decades of experience in writing about and analyzing the region, and the author of The Asian Mystique: Dragon Ladies, Geisha Girls & Our Fantasies of the Exotic Orient, a critically acclaimed book that probes the origins of Western stereotypes about Asia, particularly women.

Sheridan is also an Associate Fellow at the Asia Society and an Adjunct Professor at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. She was previously Asia Editor and Senior News Editor at Business Week; and Cambodia Bureau Chief and an Asia Regional Correspondent in Hong Kong for Agence France-Presse (AFP). She has lived in China as a Knight International Press Fellow, and in Japan as a U.S.-Japan Foundation Media Fellow.

The recipient of numerous writing awards, Sheridan has published several hundred articles about Asia in academic or print media.
