Outline

Alex Brideau of Eurasia Group will provide us with an update on major developments in US domestic politics, President Obama's fortunes and the situation on Capitol Hill. He will then explain what are the implications for US foreign policy, with a focus on Sino-American relations.

Speaker's Profile

Alex Brideau is an analyst with Eurasia Group, a New York-based political risk consulting firm. Alex analyzes US politics and their impact on the global investment environment, and he is also specialist on the former Soviet Union. He received an MA in international affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, and a BS in foreign service from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service. Previously, Alex worked as a staff reporter for Energy Intelligence Group in Washington, DC, and for Pasha Publications in Arlington, Virginia, as an associate editor of Navy News & Undersea Technology.
