About the Event

Due to growing interest in environmental issues, companies can now take advantage of the green wave to increase their profits. Using case studies in corporate governance, Remi Chandran will show how companies will benefit through appropriate usage of good environmental practices ,especially when dealing with developing country scenarios. He will also seek to explore the current practices in monitoring environmental compliance through environmental management systems and the models that can be adopted for bringing growth through good environmental practices.

Remi Chandran is a Senior Researcher working on Environmental Governance at United Nations University and is based at UNU-IIST in Macao. He is also the Project manager of Wildlife Enforcement Monitoring System (WEMS) project. He started his career in 1998 working for the Government of India on environmental policy and natural resources and has extensive experience working on water and biodiversity issues. He is a a postgraduate in Agriculture from University College Dublin.
