About the Event

Nicolas Véron is a research fellow at Bruegel. A graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole des Mines in Paris, his earlier work experience spans finance, industry, and government in Europe. His recent publications include 'Smoke & Mirrors, Inc.: Accounting for Capitalism' (Cornell University Press, 2006) and, at Bruegel, 'Farewell National Champions' (2006), 'Is Europe Ready for a Major Banking Crisis?' (2007), and 'Safe and Sound: An EU Approach to Sovereign Investment' (2008). He writes a column on business and markets for French business daily La Tribune.
