Branding & Identity Design (One-day Workshop) (BID101-SU)
This workshop will survey the nuances and possibilities of branding, including graphic design, typography and technology and how branding has become an important form of communication not only for companies but in multiple aspects of our lives.
We will start by looking at examples of branding from the past and present, from notable pioneers of the 20th century through to today's leaders in the industry and the ways that branding both reflects and shapes our society.
What is the future of branding? Looking into the future, we will produce a concept design for a brand of our own.
Tim holds a MFA in Printmaking & Media, Slade School of Fine Art, University College, London and a BA Hons in Painting from Kingston University. He has also worked at Alsop Architects for 12 years initializing designs for a variety of architectural, master-planning and visioning projects. He continues collaborations with designers working on projects and workshops in Japan and overseas. Using concept sketches, painting, 3d cad, model making and film, Tim has produced projects ranging from architectural design to publications, websites, exhibition and interior design, branding and identity.
