Survival Kanji (JSL206-S)
- Saturday 13:00-14:50
- Tokyo (Maps & Directions)
You're out on a trip and you see signs that you feel are important but you don't know what they mean... And you bought this wonderful electric water oven that's supposed to be really healthy and make your life easier with a push of a button. It has lots of wonderful new recipes, too, that you want to try out... Ooooh and you want to buy that new dvd player where you can save data on a hard disk and you can make 10 multiple dvds in a jiffy... BUT here's the dreaded KANJI that offers you the world at your feet and you can't make sense of all those characters... Don't worry--HELP is on the way! This course aims to provide students with the kanji needed to survive basic daily operations used in the post office, bank, restaurant, electrical appliances store/manuals, etc. to ensure you not just survive your stay in Japan but actually enjoy every minute of it (almost, anyway)!
This course is repeatable and will cover different kanji and different topics each semester.
