English for Finance (8 Weeks) (FIN101)
English has become the common language of communication in the world today and in Japan, more and more public institutions and organizations are encouraging employees to use English in the workplace. As well, there has been a surge in the number of visitors to Japan in the past few years, and even more tourists will come for the Tokyo Olympics event in 2020. Japanese financial institutions can take advantage of these major events. This course is designed for those who would like to become comfortable with English terminology used in the banking and finance industry. In this course, you will learn how to handle customer needs and describe banking products and services in English. You will also learn how to talk about subjects such as foreign currency transactions, stock markets, and tax returns.
Anis Benchikh Lehocine
Born and raised in Algeria, Anis has worked, studied and lived in different countries including Japan. He holds a BA and a Master's degree in Business Administration and also has nearly 7 years experience teaching general English, business English and business skills including presentations, meetings, negotiations, cross-cultural interaction and business ethics. In addition to teaching at Temple University, he also does corporate training in different companies in Tokyo. In the future, he would like to explore further professional opportunities in education here in Japan and overseas to add more spice to his experience.
