Course Details

This course is to introduce students to the field of Interior Design. It will teach students about the importance of good and bad design and the influence it has on themselves and others around them. Also, learn how to maximize small and large spaces through furniture placement, the use of colors, textiles/fabrics, art and accessories. You will learn to look at interiors, architecture, and art in a different way.

Instructor

Bavo Willems

Bavo Willems has been working on several renovation projects and participated in expositions showing furniture design and installation art. In collaboration with 'Art Basics for Children', he designed various educational studios for, among others, the Margritte Museum in Brussels and the Chinese Pavilion in Brussels, a work by French 'Belle-poque' architect Alexandre Marcel. Until 2008 he studied Architecture at the Saint-Lucas School of Architecture (Belgium), after obtaining a degree in Interior Architecture and Design at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (Belgium).
