Art and Digital Photography I (DPH102)
This is a course for people who enjoy taking photographs and would like to develop their knowledge and skills. The content of the course will include the basics of taking photographs using a digital camera, printing works through an ink-jet printer, handling compositions and motifs, learning the brief history of photography, and dealing with the issues in art photography. We will also produce a photo exhibition or create a photo book. The course will also cover an introduction to RAW file recording.
Participants in the course should own or have access to a digital single lens reflex (SLR) camera or a digital camera with manual functions and RAW file recording capability.
This course is taught simultaneously with DPH103 and DPH104. More rigorous activities are provided for students in the higher two levels to ensure that the intended learning outcomes are attained.
