Course Details

Contemporary visual art can often seem obscure and inaccessible. This course is for people who are curious about what artists are doing today. During the course, we will find ways to form opinions about contemporary art and hopefully, to enjoy it. The course will comprise short lectures, discussions and gallery visits. We will also make our own 'visual enquiries' to explore what motivates artists and look back at how people have understood art in the past and how the purpose of art has changed. The course will require curiosity and an open mind.

Special Note:

This class is a hybrid studio class involving lectures and in-class work.
