Course Details

This course deals with the JavaScript (ECMA Script) language used by web browsers to control a website. For the cross-platform application development language courses, see JAV101 and JAV102.

This course teaches how to use Javascript to improve a user's experience with a website. It assumes the student has not studied programming before and introduces Javascript in 3 distinct phases: Direct manipulation in the context of form validation; using Google's public services like Maps; and using the jQuery library for animations and effects. This course is applicable to any computer platform using a modern browser, and no software needs to be purchased by the student.
