Course Details

This intermediate level course in graphic design production is designed to go into greater depth into graphic design fundamentals that are needed for the creation of documents for print. The 10 weeks emphasis is placed on learning intermediate level skills and techniques of computer graphics, including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. The final project will employ the advanced techniques studied to a real world "concept to print" project of the student's choice. If you have some training in Photoshop and Illustrator and want to create beautiful pamphlets, newsletters or books, or are looking to review and expand your use of these software packages, you will find this course invaluable. A competent knowledge of Macintosh or Windows is required. This course will be taught on Macintosh computers as is the industry standard but all techniques apply equally to Windows software. It is recommended that you have taken GDP101 or something comparable as a prerequisite.
