The real value of a company no longer rests in its physical or financial assets. We live in the knowledge economy. To prosper in the knowledge economy we need a new vocabulary, new management techniques, new technologies, and new strategies. The cultivation, management and flow of knowledge within an organization impact all business disciplines: Human resources, operations, marketing, financial management, and information systems. This course introduces knowledge management, the "knowledge worker," and the knowledge organization.
Doaa Zaher holds an MBA degree from GLOBIS business school in Tokyo, Master's degrees in Economics from Yamaguchi University-Japan, and is currently a PhD student at J.F Oberlin University-Tokyo. She practiced management in several positions in Saudi Arabia, and worked as an independent consultant for various companies in the Middle East. She is a member of American Management Association, Japan Management Association and several other management Associations globally. Her area of specialty is Knowledge Management in Multicultural Organizations.
