International Business Cultures (IBC101)
This course will provide an examination of how culture shapes and influences business processes. Special attention will be given to the history, political and economic systems, religions, social values, and geography in select regions and countries. An inter-disciplinary approach combining theory with practical case analysis will be used. This will benefit those who are interested or who are working in a business environment and wish to be exposed to different cultural issues in an international business context.
Annette Leonie Karseras
Annette Karseras develops leaders and teams at all levels of the organization. She has trained with the Coach Training Institute, the Intercultural Communication Institute, Systems Coaching group in the Society for Organisational Learning and is currently a member of the Association for Coaching's Global Research Group and the International Coach Federation's Tokyo Chapter. Annette completed her Masters degree at the University of Leicester, UK. Using enjoyable, practical activities Annette helps people develop their ability to align intention with impact especially in cross-cultural situations and during periods of professional and organizational change. She delivers skills to use tomorrow, and insights for strategic win-wins in the long-term. Annette has lived, travelled, and worked in over 15 countries, and uses Japanese and French alongside international English.
