Course Details
Managers, team leaders and executives generally agree that the greatest challenge in business is not profit, operations, nor the future. It is the management of people. This course, a core component of the HRM Certificate, is about the behavior of people in organizations-in essence, the psychology of work. In an interesting and relevant manner, we study the individual, the group and the organization as a whole through examples of current issues, self-assessment exercises and group discussions. This course will help you better understand yourself and those with whom you work. What really motivates people? How can an understanding of human psychology help us better select and retain candidates for our organizations? How can conflict enhance group performance? What's the difference between management and leadership? Why does it matter? These and many other questions will be answered throughout the course.
