Diversity and Inclusion (DNI101)
|Fall 2017||Spring 2018||Summer 2018|
Diversity & Inclusion has become the new way to combat all those biases preventing progress in social interactions and even more so in the workplace. The unstoppable, evolving social demographics, everywhere, has presented a great opportunity that if seized by individuals and organizations, can realize the true value of an inclusive environment. One of the issues we will discuss is whether here in Japan there is the persistent mindset that women should be at home, thus making it very difficult for them to climb the corporate ladder. The main purpose of this experiential course is to help participants begin the process of understanding their mindsets towards others that are different from them and how these same mindsets distorts how we perceive and then either accept or reject others.
