Writing Basics (WBA101)
Did you know that each culture has its own unique format of writing? Writing, even in one's own language, is difficult and one that requires the most effort to achieve mastery in a second language. And yet, as adults, how we wish we could write in a way that English speakers readily understand. This is a class for those who wish to acquire the very basic skills of writing in the English language. Starting from simple paragraph writing to diary writing and moving on to easy essay writing, you will learn how to use the basic tools that enable the smooth flow of thoughts in simple English writing.
Adam Dabrowski is native to the Pacific Northwest's Portland, Oregon. He speaks North American English, and is interested in the way that culture and perception shape language. He currently teaches academic English preparation and other subjects at a private high school in Shibuya-ku. In addition to language teaching, Adam is also interested in art and design. As an undergraduate he studied metal sculpture, stone carving, as well as digital and traditional photography.
