Preparation for TOEIC Listening & Reading 730-800 (TOE101)
Beginning through intermediate students can use this course to acquire the strategies and vocabulary they need to take TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication). TOEIC is highly evaluated by Japanese companies as a tool to measure a person's ability to understand English in international business situations. Therefore, it is necessary for businessmen/women and potential businessmen/women to be familiar with TOEIC.
This course is repeatable.
Derek Canning has been teaching in the Tokyo area for more than ten years and has worked in a wide variety of educational contexts. He holds a M.S.Ed in TESOL from Temple University and a bachelor's degree in history from the University of Calgary, Canada. His professional interests include teaching English to young learners, teaching reading and writing, and vocabulary acquisition. Derek is currently outlining a research project in evaluating structured and impromptu dialogues. When not teaching or studying, he enjoys hiking and traditional world music.
