Critical Reading Skills (8 Weeks) (RCR101)

Pursuing higher education demands more than the ability to read and comprehend. Students must interpret, analyze, evaluate and discuss reading assignments. This course is especially useful for students who are planning to study at overseas universities, anyone working for an academic degree (or plans to pursue one), or who must frequently read and decipher the messages and implications behind words in print.
Ivan Botev received his B.A. in Photojournalism from the University of Central Oklahoma, USA, his M.Ed. in English Language and Methodology from Plovdiv University, Bulgaria, and his Ph.D. in Regional Development Studies from Toyo University, Japan and holds a K-12 teacher's license. Ivan has been teaching English as a Foreign Language for over 12 years in Japan. He enjoys being in the classroom and is keen on helping his students win at college and in various aspects of their career and life. In his free time, Ivan spends time with his wife and kids, and also plays the shamisen and does Judo.
