Critical Reading Skills (RCR101)
Pursuing higher education demands more than the ability to read and comprehend. Students must interpret, analyze, evaluate and discuss reading assignments. This course is especially useful for students who are planning to study at overseas universities, anyone working for an academic degree (or plans to pursue one), or who must frequently read and decipher the messages and implications behind words in print.
John has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Computer Integrated Manufacturing, and is presently pursing an MA in Applied Linguistics. He is from Canada, and has lived in the United States, Europe, Korea, and for the past five years he has been working and living in Japan. He has worked as a Field Service and Intelligence Engineer for an American medical device company, and currently works as a business English instructor and corporate trainer for Japanese multinational companies.
