Business Meetings and Presentation Skills (12 Weeks) (BPS101)
This course provides students with the skills to participate in business meetings comfortably and confidently. During the term, students develop the ability to present opinions and ideas clearly and concisely and to respond to multiple questions and comments while speaking to a group. Other skills acquired through this course include assimilating and using various sources of information from different media, and note taking and summarizing techniques.
Robert Crutchfeild consults to companies and individuals on business presentation development, editorial services and public relations. He also teaches English Language Arts and other academic subjects. Mr. Crutchfield earned an M.S. Ed. from Shenandoah University in Virginia. He received a second bachelor's degree in English from the University of Maryland. His first bachelor's degree is a double major in Journalism and Economics from California State University, Long Beach. He also has a teaching credential in English Language Arts and ESL from the State of California as well as advanced TESOL certification. He has extensive experience teaching English Language Learners and training educators in this field. Mr. Crutchfield spent 20 years in journalism, public relations, corporate communications and business development before entering the field of education. As an educator, he has worked as a teacher, administrator and educational consultant. Mr. Crutchfield has lived in Japan, China, The United Kingdom, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, Iraq and Macedonia. He is interested in travel and has visited more than 80 countries.
