Course Details
This course provides students with the skills to participate in business meetings comfortably and confidently. During the term, students develop the ability to present opinions and ideas clearly and concisely and to respond to multiple questions and comments while speaking to a group. Other skills acquired through this course include assimilating and using various sources of information from different media, and note taking and summarizing techniques.
Instructor
Timothy Williams
Tim Williams holds an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL from Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, a BA in Philosophy from University College London and is a registered examiner for Cambridge ESOL exams. He was born in Britain but has lived in Japan and Malaysia for the past 20 years. Before becoming an English teacher he worked for 10 years in the publishing industry, during which time he was the Sales and Marketing manager for two successful national magazines. He is currently working for Temple University as an instructor in the Academic English Program and Continuing Education Program. He also works as a Business English trainer for major Japanese corporations.
