At Temple University, Japan Campus, we recognize that some of you may still have concerns about safety in Tokyo following the Tohoku earthquake on March 11. We have provided this page as a resource. It contains a number of links which will direct you to reports and advice on the subject from various governmental organizations. The decision to study in Tokyo is an individual one. Natural disasters occur around the world, and Japan remains prone to earthquakes. Tokyo, however, remains one of the safest cities in the world in terms of crime rates, and it has undertaken extensive disaster preparedness planning. The best decision is an informed one, and we encourage you to read further:
