Important Notice about the Swine (H1N1) Influenza for Students, Faculty, and Staff
May 11, 2009
Japanese authorities confirmed the first cases of swine influenza (H1N1) in Japan on Saturday, May 9.
As of this writing, the Japanese government's Action Plan stays at Phase 1 and has not been raised to Phase 2 in which closure of schools and cancelation of large meetings may be required.
TUJ will continue to monitor the situation carefully and take appropriate measures, so all members of the TUJ community are asked to stay alert for further announcements made by e-mail, postings on the website, and other means.
If you develop fever or other flu-like symptoms, do not come to the university but contact the nearest regional Fever Advisory Center (Hatsunetsu Soudan Center) and follow their medical guidance. If you are diagnosed as possibly infected by the swine flu virus, please contact TUJ immediately. (0120-86-1026)
