Academic Advising

At the interim point and end of programs, AEP provides individual advising for students looking at their current state of progress and any issues concerning their studies and their future goals.

Grammar Tutoring

AEP offers individual guidance on writing, including English sentence construction and grammar, academic expressions, etc., and reading.

Counseling

We offer all students assistance in learning more about themselves, improving their ability to handle a variety of problems, and achieving their goals in their academic studies and private lives. Counseling is given in both Japanese and English by professional counselors with in-depth knowledge of cultural differences. We also conduct various related workshops.

Facilities

Computer Labs

The Computer Labs are equipped with Windows/Mac computers and allow students to use a variety of services including not only Internet and e-mail access but also printing and online storage. For details and open hours, please see here.

Library

The Library houses approximately 50,000 English books and more than 300 periodicals. In addition, students can access the library with 2.4 million books available for search at the main campus via the internet. For details and open hours, please see here.

Teaching & Learning Center

At the Teaching & Learning Center, students can receive advice on writing, including English composition and grammar, academic expressions, etc., and guidance on reading, and practice their listening at the Language Lab at the Center. With tutors (for individual guidance) also available for subjects such as mathematics, statistics, Chinese and Korean, the Center provides students with total support for students’ studies including strategies for overcoming weaknesses in certain subjects and for examination preparation. Career Development Office

The Career Development Office offers not only job-placement information but also a broad range of career support including career counseling and seminars. It also arranges internships and hosts career fairs. In addition, students can receive guidance on matters such as interviewing techniques and how to write resumes. For details, please see here.
